Tacalyx appoints Jean Engela as Chief Executive Officer to spearhead next phase of growth
The former CEO of ADC company NBE Therapeutics takes over from co-founder Dr. Peter Sondermann, who continues as Chief Scientific Officer.
Tacalyx has appointed Jean Engela as Chief Executive Officer. Co-founder and former CEO Dr. Peter Sondermann continues at Tacalyx as Chief Scientific Officer and focuses on the R&D strategy.
Jean Engela brings more than two decades of experience in drug research and development. As CEO and board member of the ADC company NBE Therapeutics, Jean Engela led its development from a start-up into a biotech with a diversified ADC pipeline. Before that he was Executive Drug Development Leader at Boehringer Ingelheim, responsible for the global development of oncology and immunology programmes, including small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, multi-specific antibodies and T-cell engagers, and led the integration of NBE Therapeutics into Boehringer Ingelheim's R&D organization.
