Partnering

Partner on a new target class

Most ADC companies compete on payloads and linkers. Tacalyx works one step earlier, on the target: tumor glycans that few teams can raise good antibodies against.

01What we offer

Ways to work together

  • Target and antibody access TACA targets and high-affinity antibodies for your own modality and payload.
  • Co-development Joint development of ADCs, T-cell engagers and multi-specifics against TACAs.
  • Research collaborations Glycan synthesis, antibody discovery and target validation with academic and industry partners, such as the LUMC collaboration on colorectal cancer glycans.

02What partners get

Why a TACA programme

First-in-class targets
A largely untapped target class for ADC and T-cell engager pipelines, independent of payload and linker choices.
Two modalities in-house
TCX-201 shows the approach as an ADC, TCX-101 as a trispecific T-cell engager, both with preclinical data presented at AACR.
Proprietary platform
Synthetic glycan structures and antibodies from a platform based on licenses from Max-Planck-Innovation.
ADC development experience
CEO Jean Engela previously ran NBE Therapeutics and led oncology development programmes at Boehringer Ingelheim.

First clinical candidate

TCX-201

Modality
ADC
Target
Undisclosed protein-linked TACA
Indication
Gastrointestinal malignancies and other solid tumors
Stage
IND/CTA-enabling

The target glycan sits on proteins, is highly expressed in pancreatic, gastric and colorectal cancer and internalizes quickly, which suits payload delivery. In preclinical models the ADC reduced tumor growth dose-dependently in cell line- and patient-derived xenografts, including a metastatic colorectal cancer PDX, showed an antibody-like half-life of about five days and was well tolerated in a single-dose study in non-human primates. Selected in April 2026 as Tacalyx's first clinical candidate.

T-cell engager programme

TCX-101

Modality
Trispecific TCE
Target
Undisclosed sphingolipid-linked TACA and a tumor-associated protein antigen
Indication
Solid tumors
Stage
Preclinical

The TACA behind TCX-101 is anchored to sphingolipids and highly expressed in colon, lung, ovarian and breast cancer. It internalizes slowly, and an ADC format showed limited efficacy, so Tacalyx moved the antibody into T-cell engager formats: a 2+1 CD3 CrossMab in 2025, now a trispecific that binds the TACA and a tumor-associated protein antigen. In knockout cell lines, binding and T-cell-mediated killing depend on both targets.
